Eating a healthy diet and taking appropriate exercise is important. We help to provide opportunities for this by organising chair based exercises at the 59 Centre. Members can keep a check on their weight and discuss health issues with friends at the group and visiting health professional. We also run a Lunch Club where members can get a nutritionally balanced meal provided by the Family Centre.
Wellbeing -what exactly does it mean?
Looking after your health by preventing disease and illness is important - but wellbeing is also about our contact with other people and the opportunities we have for educational and social pursuits. It is also about our ability to get the help we need when we need it and have the choices which are available to other people.
